Freshwater Wetlands Stewardship Act
The Freshwater Wetlands Stewardship Act was signed into law by Delaware Governor Matt Meyer in a ceremony on July 21, 2026, at the Russell Peterson Wildlife Refuge in Wilmington. Delaware Holds Second Public Workshop About Upcoming Middleford Bridge Replacement
This was the second public workshop on the project upriver of Seaford. It was held on February 18. This meeting was meant to inform the public about different concepts they have for replacing the old narrow concrete bridge. The approaches to the bridge will be widened, like they proposed two years ago. They have put aside for now changes to the nearby Middleford Road - Old Furnace Road intersection. Lawsuit filed over Burns DAF tank
On October 22 The Wicomico Environmental Trust (WET), The Friends of the Nanticoke River, and more than two dozen County residents have filed a complaint in Wicomico County Circuit Court seeking relief from the harms and risks caused by the open-top Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) waste storage tank on Porter Mill Road.
